Hayden Homes Bend Summer Comp– A bouldering competition for all ages and abilities.  Bend Summer Comp provides a high-quality climbing competition for both the seasoned competitor and the climber who is still new to the game.  This is a one of a kind event for Central Oregon and offers a high-level experience for the competitor while providing an exciting sporting event for the spectator. The qualification rounds at Bend Rock Gym allows entrants to climb top-notch boulder problems while vying for a coveted spot in the finals round held at Goodlife Brewing and a chance at a slice of the $13,000 cash/prize purse. 

Whether you’re trying to earn a spot in the finals, or just want to watch and cheer on some of the top climbers in the US go head to head, this event is not to be missed.

Qualifiers Format - All Categories
The qualifying rounds will be a modified redpoint format for all categories.  Each category will have eight to twelve boulders assigned to them.  Climbers will have three hours to attempt their climbs and will be ranked based off of the total number of climbs completed. Ties will be broken by attempts.

Open Finals
Get ready to watch and cheer on your favorite climber in the exciting finals at Goodlife Brewing. The top five males and top five females from the Open/Pro qualifiers will compete under the lights and in front of the crowd.

For the Open Finals, we will use a 100 point hybrid scoring system.

  • TOPS = 25 points Flash a problem and you get 25 points
  • Zones = 5 points for each zone Each climb has three zones. Control the first zone and receive 5 points; second zone and receive 10 points; the third, 15 points
  • Falls = subtract .10 points Every fall to the highest scored point (top or zone) results in a deduction of .10 points

Competition begins Friday, June 22nd
$75 pre-registration until Friday, June 15th, $85 from Saturday, June 16th up to the day of the event

Rules: 8:45am - 9:00am
Climbing: 9:00am-12:00pm

Session 2: Advanced and "For Funzies"
Registration (Bend Rock Gym): 12:00pm - 12:45pm
Rules: 12:45pm - 1:00pm
Climbing: 1:00pm - 4:00pm
